Upper East Region

About Upper East Region

The Upper East Region is NABOCADO’s home. Our headquarters are at the Bishop’s Secretariat in Bolgatanga, and all of the region’s administrative districts are within our operational area.

Our facilities in the region include the Centre for Child Development in Bolgatanga, the Mother of Mercy Babies Home in Sirigu and the Centre for Integrated Development in Bongo.

Recent and current work in the region includes:

  • Climate-resilient farming with smallholder farmers in Builsa South, Nabdam and Kassena-Nankana West (SCRAS project)
  • Preventing violent extremism in Bawku West (PEACE-PROTECT project)
  • Services for asylum seekers from Burkina Faso at the Tarikom Reception Centre and in host communities
  • Emergency response to the Bawku and Kandiga-Doba conflicts
