Our Livelihood and Agriculture Programme has conducted an orientation workshop for staff and Community Animators under the new phase of the Strengthening Smallholder Farmers’ Resilience Towards a Changing Climate (SCRAS) Project. This training ensured that everyone understands the project’s revised objectives, strategies, and implementation roles and expected outcomes.
Running from April 2026- March 2029, the new SCRAS phase funded by Misereor with co-funding from the Catholic Diocese of Bistum Münster will directly benefit 5,217 smallholder farmers across 16 communities in Builsa South, Nabdam, West Mamprusi, and Kassena-Nankana West Districts.
With a goal of contributing to food security, poverty reduction and resilience to climate change, the project will promote the adoption of agroecological practices for crop and livestock production, intensification of community climate action plans implementation, and women’s micro-enterprise development. Facilitated by our Programme leads and graced by our Executive Director, the session laid a strong foundation for smooth implementation.
We remain deeply grateful to Misereor and our partners for their continuous support towards delivering impactful, community-centred development outcomes.
