Livelihood for Peace: Stakeholders Review Progress in Tempane

October 15, 2026  ·  Justice, Peace & Humanitarian Response

Under the UNDP Governance, Rule of Law and Peacebuilding for Sustainable Development Programme, an initiative of UNDP Ghana, with funding from the governments of Embassy of Denmark in Ghana, Luxembourg and the Republic of Korea, NABOCADO has held a stakeholder review meeting in Tempane to assess progress under the Livelihood for Peace Project.

The meeting brought together representatives from the District Assembly, security agencies, the Regional Peace Council, project beneficiaries and NABOCADO staff to review achievements, discuss challenges and identify areas for improvement.

Over the past months, NABOCADO has supported community members in Kongo, particularly women and youth, with livelihood and start-up opportunities while promoting social cohesion and peaceful coexistence.
While participants expressed positive feedback on the intervention, they highlighted challenges posed by a broken bridge, which severely restricted access to the community.
Community members reported that difficulties accessing healthcare due to this challenge had contributed to three deaths.

The engagement provided an opportunity for stakeholders to reflect on the project’s impact and discuss ways to strengthen livelihood opportunities and peaceful coexistence in the community.
