Under the Strengthening Smallholder Farmers’ Resilience towards a Changing Climate and the Promotion of Environmentally Friendly Agriculture (SCRAS) Project, NABOCADO held a one-day training and capacity-building session for members of Community Climate Adaptation Action Plans (CAAPs) Committees in selected communities in the Nabdam District.
Facilitated by Dominic Avea, Director of Livelihood and Agriculture Programmes, and Dr. Michael Ayamga, MEAL Coordinator, the training focused on strengthening the committees’ understanding of their roles in planning, coordinating and implementing climate-related activities within their communities.
Participants explored practical areas including resource mobilisation and support-seeking, advocacy, action planning, strategy development and implementation in line with their communities’ climate mitigation, adaptation and resilience priorities mapped out under the project funded by Misereor of Germany.
The interactive sessions also provided space for committee members in Gundoug, Logre Yakin, Nkuzesi and Nyogbare to ask questions, share perspectives and strengthen their capacity to lead community-driven climate action.
Empowering communities to plan for climate resilience and take action together.
