At the invitation of the North East Regional Coordinating Council, the Executive Director of NABOCADO, Dr. Joseph Bangu and the Director of Justice, Peace and Humanitarian Response, Theophilus Abolga held a fruitful meeting on Monday, 28 September, to discuss the possibility of collaborating in facilitating mediation processes towards restoring peace in Bunkpurugu and its surroundings.
Led by the Regional Minister, the Regional Coordinating Council highlighted the importance of such engagements in supporting efforts towards lasting peace in the community, following recent tensions that resulted in violent exchanges.
The Executive Director expressed appreciation for the confidence placed in NABOCADO's peacebuilding work and accepted the challenge to support the mediation process.
We are committed to supporting dialogue, mediation and community-led approaches to peaceful coexistence across the region and the diocese at large.
