NABOCADO was honored to welcome Rev. Fr. Bernd Hante, a Priest at Bistum Munster, Diocesan President of the Catholic Rural Youth Movement (KLJB) and the Catholic Rural Movement (KLB), our partner organization in Germany, to the Navrongo-Bolgatanga Diocese.
Rev. Fr. Bernd undertook a one-week monitoring visit to assess the progress and impact of the Professionalization of Small-Scale Farmers (PROSSFA) Project, which NABOCADO has been implementing since 2024 under the South-South and South-North Cooperation with Katholische Landvolkbewegung of Germany and Caritas Uganda.
The project focuses on empowering young people to graduate from subsistence agriculture into farming as a sustainable business while creating employment opportunities for themselves and their families.
During the visit, Rev. Fr. Bernd interacted with several beneficiaries at their farms and heard inspiring stories of transformation from youth trained in pig farming, catfish production, and integrated vegetable farming.
