NABOCADO, With support from the Dicastery for the Services of Charity, in Rome, through the Office of the Apostolic Nuncio to Ghana, has donated essential Food and WASH items to Burkinabe refugees at the Tarikom Refugee Camp in Ghana’s Upper East Region.
Following the UNHCR, the UN Refugee Agency’s withdrawal in March 2025, the camp faced major service gaps in health, education, and protection.

These donations form part of NABOCADO core principles of sustaining hope and human dignity. This week’s donation included:
🍚 142 (25kg) bags of rice
🛢️ 144 (2L) bottles of cooking oil
🧼 432 pieces of soap, sanitary pads, toothpaste, and salt
💳 NHIS renewal for 1,347 refugee children for access to basic healthcare.
“NABOCADO continues to stand with the refugees at Tarikom,” said Dr. Joseph Bangu, Executive Director. “We appeal to international partners to collaborate with us in providing dignified lives for displaced families.”
Led by Most Rev. Alfred Agyenta, Bishop of Navrongo-Bolgatanga, the delegation thanked the Catholic Church in Rome for their solidarity and urged the refugees to remain hopeful.
