Healthy children begin with empowered mothers. ππΆ
Under the Collaborative Child Health Initiative for Life-Saving and Development (CHILD) Project funded by Kindermissionswerk Die Sternsinger of Germany, NABOCADO continues to work alongside refugee-hosting communities in the Upper East Region to reduce the incidence of preventable childhood illnesses among children under five.
A key pillar of this effort is the Mother-to-Mother Support Groups (MtMSG), where mothers come together to learn, share experiences, and support one another in adopting healthy childcare and nutrition practices. Beyond improving child health, these groups are strengthening social cohesion by fostering trust, solidarity, and mutual support among refugee and host community families.
We commend our dedicated field team for their unwavering commitment to walking alongside mothers every step of the journey, providing practical guidance, encouraging peer learning, and helping families give every child a healthier start in life.
