INPEACE Project Trains Upper East Journalists on Conflict-Sensitive Reporting

September 22, 2026  ·  Justice, Peace & Humanitarian Response

When the media reports responsibly, it can help communities understand, connect and build peace.

The media plays a vital role in shaping societies and communities, particularly in promoting peace, social cohesion and responsible public dialogue.

Through the Integrated Peacebuilding for Improved Food and Nutrition Supply (INPEACE) Project, NABOCADO funded by Misereor, in collaboration with the Upper East Regional branch of the Ghana Journalists Association (GJA), facilitated a training for selected journalists in the Upper East Region on conflict-sensitive reporting.

The training equipped journalists with perspectives and practical approaches to reporting conflict-related issues responsibly while contributing to peace and social cohesion. The Ghanaian Times reported on the training: https://ghanaiantimes.com.gh/journalists-urged-to-prioritise-conflict-sensitive-reporting/
