Conflict Prevention Begins With Early Response to Warning Signs

March 11, 2026  ·  Justice, Peace & Humanitarian Response

The Justice, Peace and Humanitarian Response Directorate of NABOCADO, under the INPEACE Project funded by Misereor, has held refresher training sessions for Community Peace Agents (CPAs) in the Bunkpurugu-Nakpanduri and Yunyoo-Nasuan Districts of the North East Region.

The sessions helped participants strengthen their ability to identify and report early warning signs of conflicts, a crucial step in preventing violence and promoting peaceful co-existence.

Led by Theophilus Atia Abolga, Director of JPHR, the training also created space for CPAs to discuss emerging issues in their communities that may escalate into conflict if not addressed timely.

The INPEACE Project continues to work towards its goal of reducing violent conflicts and improving peaceful co-existence across the Navrongo-Bolgatanga Diocese.

Together, we build safer, more resilient communities.
