Six selected youth fish and piggery farmers and staff of NABOCADO are currently in Uganda for a one-week exchange learning course, part of the Ghana-Germany-Uganda Partnership Cooperation Program.
This opportunity follows weeks of training and monitoring visits to their farms, aimed at building their capacity to engage in agriculture as a viable business for improved livelihoods.
Leading the participants are NABOCADO’s Executive Director, Dr. Joseph, along with Dr. Dassah, a lecturer and initiator of the programme, and Dominic Avea, Director for Livelihood and Advocacy, among others.
The Ghana-Germany-Uganda Partnership Cooperation Program is a crucial initiative to strengthen South-South and South-North cooperation. It fosters a network among partners, enabling staff and farmers to visit each other for shared learning. Ultimately, this collaboration aims to establish a farmers’ academy that will enhance the capacities of smallholder farmers, particularly youth and women.
We wish our six young farmers all the best on their trip!
