In celebration of the Feast Day of St. Therese of the Child Jesus, management of St. Therese Health Center in Zorko, under the Navrongo-Bolgatanga Diocesan Catholic Health Services, held a community durbar last Friday.
According to the facility management, the event aimed to foster community engagement and participation to improve health delivery in the area. Without an alternative power source and with poor WASH facilities, the health center has instituted a community-led initiative to mobilise resources for a standby power generator and the construction of adequate WASH facilities.
Staff of the facility also conducted a health talk on anaemia, a prevalent condition among women in the community. Community members also took turns sharing their concerns about the services they receive.
The durbar was attended by chiefs, Assembly members and health sector workers.
