The Livelihood and Advocacy Directorate of NABOCADO led a team of 17 smallholder farmers and 10 staff on a week-long exchange learning visit to the Center for No-till Agriculture (CNTA) in Amanchia, Ashanti Region.

The activity, under the Strengthening of Smallholder Farmers' Resilience Against a Changing Climate and Promotion of Environmentally Friendly Agriculture (SCRAS) Project, funded by Misereor of Germany, aims to expose farmers and field staff to practical, sustainable farming innovations that strengthen resilience against climate change.

The group was warmly welcomed by CNTA's team led by Dr. Francis Boa-Amponsem and Mr. Patrick Akowuah.

"If we want to leave a better country for our children and generations after, natural soil regeneration is the way to go," said Dr. Kofi Boah.

From learning about farm water management and mulching techniques to discussions on soil regeneration, the first day was full of insight and hands-on experiences.

On day two, the group was taken through over 15 separate Sustainable Agriculture demonstration fields, showcasing techniques and methods to improve practices and outcomes. The group was excited to see the results of commitment to sustainable farming.
