On the occasion of World Refugee Day 2024, staff of NABOCADO, led by the Bishop, Most Rev. Alfred Agyenta, joined Burkinabe asylum seekers and other stakeholders at the Tarikom Refugee Settlement Center to honour their resilience, advocate for their rights and work towards a future where everyone has a place to call home.
As part of the UNHCR-Caritas Ghana project, NABOCADO is supporting the implementation of essential emergency services at the center, with the aim of seeing refugees not just as numbers but as individuals and families with dreams, aspirations and skills that benefit the communities they become part of.
Under the theme “Solidarity with Refugees”, Bishop Agyenta highlighted the need for global unity in supporting refugees. He envisions a world that accepts and actively embraces refugees, offering inclusion and assistance as they rebuild their lives.
