NABOCADO hosted a farewell ceremony in honour of Dr. Joseph Ayembilla, its outgoing Executive Director, whose 31 years of service have shaped the identity and impact of the organisation.
The event began with a Thanksgiving Mass at the Sacred Heart Cathedral Parish, presided over by Most Rev. Alfred Agyenta, followed by a reception at the Sacred Heart Cathedral Parish (SHCP) Gardens. Guests from across sectors, including clergy, development partners, staff and community leaders, came together to celebrate a legacy built on integrity, compassion and transformational leadership.
Tributes were shared by the Board, staff and invited guests about the journey and impact of Dr. Ayembilla. A citation and symbolic gifts of life-long service to the Catholic Church were presented to honour his immense contributions.
The evening ended with networking, memories and Dr. Ayembilla's farewell address, in which he stated: "Even though I am stepping away from this role, my commitment to the values we all aspire and share, and the mission and vision of the church will continue to be an inspiration for our collaboration and networking."
Dr. Ayembilla, your legacy continues to inspire. NABOCADO stands tall today because of your vision and sacrifice.
