The Paramount Chief and Youth of Kandiga have extended an invitation to the chief and people of Doba to participate in the 50th anniversary celebration of Naaba Henry Amenga-Etego.
The announcement came during a meeting called by mediating chiefs, facilitated by NABOCADO and the National Peace Council, to address security concerns that arose after a one-week ban was placed on the performance of funerals by the people of Kandiga.
The meeting successfully clarified the issues surrounding the celebrations, and we commend all stakeholders for their dedication to maintaining peace between Kandiga and Doba.
The meeting was held under the INPEACE project, funded by Misereor.
