On Tuesday, NABOCADO, through the Integrated Peacebuilding for Improved Food and Nutrition Supply (INPEACE) Project funded by Misereor of Germany, facilitated a Regional Stakeholder Meeting on Peace and Security in the Upper East Region.
The meeting brought together security heads, the Peace Council, the House of Chiefs, the Upper East Regional Coordinating Council and other key actors to co-create knowledge and share strategies for preventing violence and crime in the region.
Key issues discussed included land-related conflicts, drug abuse and rising school violence, particularly the recent surge of violent incidents in Senior High Schools. Stakeholders worked together to assess risks and develop coordinated action points to respond to these pressing challenges.
NABOCADO thanks all stakeholders for their valuable contributions as it continues to foster dialogue, collaboration and peacebuilding for the safety and well-being of communities.
