NABOCADO had the honour of hosting a high-level delegation led by Archbishop Nelson Perez, Board Chairman of Catholic Relief Services (CRS), alongside the National Federation for Catholic Youth Ministry (NFCYM) and CRS Ghana.
The delegation included the Vice President of CRS Global, Annemarie Reilly, the Regional Director for Central and West Africa, Jude Marie Banatte, and the Country Representative of CRS Ghana, Abena Amedormey, a strong show of solidarity and commitment to partnership in the Diocese of Navrongo-Bolgatanga (Upper East and North East Regions).
The visit began with Mass at the Sacred Heart Cathedral. On day two, the delegation held discussions with Most Rev. Alfred Agyenta and the NABOCADO team on the results of the long-standing collaboration with CRS, as well as future opportunities in development and emergency programming. Bishop Agyenta presented the delegation with wooden crosses and a stole in appreciation.
Guided by NABOCADO's Executive Director, Dr. Joseph Bangu, the delegation later visited the Tarikom Refugee Reception and Settlement Centre, where they engaged with Burkinabe asylum seekers and donated essential food and hygiene supplies.
In the North East Region, the team also connected with young soybean farmers supported under CRS' HAPPY Project being implemented by NABOCADO, and visited beneficiaries of the KAYAPORT project, where 10 young girls shared their success stories in vocational training, including hairdressing, weaving and tiling.
NABOCADO deeply values this visit and looks forward to strengthening its collaboration with CRS and partners, united by the Catholic Church's mission of faith, service and humanity.
