NABOCADO organised a successful dialogue session with stakeholders in the Bunkpurugu-Nakpanduri District as part of our ongoing efforts to promote peace ahead of the elections. The event brought together local and religious leaders, political parties (NDC, NPP), security heads (District Election Taskforce), Assembly members and the media to discuss concerns and strategies for fostering unity and a peaceful electoral environment.
Under the theme “Bonding Together for a Peaceful Election 2024,” participants shared their insights on the importance of collaboration and open dialogue, especially among community, security and electoral officials, in ensuring a harmonious election process.
Leaders of the NPP and NDC in the Constituency pledged their commitment to peace before, during and after the 7th of December 2024 elections. Other speakers, including the security heads and the media, all pledged to act professionally towards co-creating a safe and peaceful environment throughout the electioneering period.
These engagements form part of the implementation of the Integrated Peacebuilding for Improved Food and Nutrition Supply (INPEACE) project in the Diocese, funded by Misereor of Germany.
Together, we are committed to maintaining Ghana’s democratic values and promoting stability in our communities.
