The Apostolic Nuncio to Ghana, Monsignor Henryk Mieczyslaw Jagodziński, arrived in Bolgatanga for a 3-day working visit to the Navrongo-Bolgatanga Diocese. Hosted by Bishop Alfred Agyenta, Monsignor Jagodziński began his visit with a mid-morning prayer session at the Sacred Heart Cathedral before paying a courtesy visit to the Upper East Regional Minister, Stephen Yakubu, to discuss issues of conflict, security and peace within the Diocese.
On day two of his visit, Monsignor Jagodziński spent time at the Tarikom Refugee Settlement Center in the Bawku West District. The settlement center, supported by UNHCR Ghana, NABOCADO and other partners, has provided refuge for over a thousand displaced persons from Burkina Faso.
During his visit, Monsignor Jagodziński shared a heartfelt message from Pope Francis at a Mass, interacted with camp members and donated toiletries as a token of his support. It was a day filled with smiles and blessings from the Nuncio and our refugee friends.
