Our Journey Since 1981
1981: Foundations of Charity
Established as the social development wing of the Catholic Diocese of Navrongo-Bolgatanga, NABOCADO began with a mission to translate the Church’s charity and human dignity into concrete actions for rural livelihoods and human development.
2014: Formalizing Peace & Justice
In response to evolving societal challenges—land conflicts, chieftaincy disputes, and climate pressures—the Directorate of Good Governance, Justice and Peace was formally established to lead conflict mediation and community reconciliation.
2019: Humanitarian Milestone
The arrival of Burkinabe asylum seekers marked a turning point, solidifying our dual mandate of humanitarian intervention and peacebuilding. Our UNHCR-Caritas partnership has since assisted over 8,000 refugees.
2025-2029: Strategic Horizon
Today, we operate under a robust 5-year strategic plan focusing on climate justice, health systems strengthening, and resilient community governance across the Sahel ecological region.
